Elizabeth is a third-year B.Arch student at Carnegie Mellon University and is using the scholarship to support her education. 

After receiving the Spring 2023 award, Elizabeth commented: "As one of the few black women in my architecture program, it can be difficult to feel supported, understood, and cared for in my community. I am grateful to be a MAPS recipient and receive financial assistance from a team that demonstrates their commitment to supporting architecture students, and I am excited to use this opportunity to sharpen my skills, explore my creative freedom, and fulfill the path God has set forth for me."
